Summer Reading Program 6:30-8:30 pm
Description
WHO: Students exiting K-3rd Grade and their parents
WHEN: Tuesdays, June 2, 9, 16 & 23
TIME: 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Students typically lose three months of reading progress over the summer. Fifteen minutes a day spent reading books at their independent reading level can help prevent this loss. However, we often hear from parents of young children how difficult it can be to find reading material at the right level.
So… we have a plan.
Stop by the Lakeview Media Center during the above times and teachers will be available to help you select books from our guided reading collection. If your child is a Lakeview student we will know his or her level. All you have to do is show up and check out books. Parents need to come with students. We will also be serving root beer floats and providing some make and take crafts. We hope to see you on all Tuesday nights or as many nights as you can. Stop in before or after T-Ball!
